Some others I considered for entry.
Hi Barry & Brad,
Wow! What a knock-out start!
Thank you for getting the ball rolling with your fabulous entries. :hi:
Even Barry's "John West" shots are absolute crackers!
You're both capturing the theme exactly as I hoped.
Really compelling accompanying captions too!

Brad, that's a wonderful effect!
Ric, what a delicate web. It must have been a still morning for that much dew to stick to it.
Baz.
Hi Baz, it was just after a heavy dew rolled through this morning, it's a very still day out here.
I was actually standing there wondering what photo I could take that was geometric when I realised that it was it was staring me in the face only a few inches away.

Welcome back to the comp RB... Long tme no post :)
G'day Tony and thanks, yes it's been a while, I've been a bit quiet lately, health and family matters have been keeping me from doing any photography or astro.
Hopefully I'll be getting back into the swing of things.
Hope you're doing well mate.

We've been pretty well here Andrew, hope nothing too serious your way.
Ok, I've pulled the pin on my eight legged friend for a couple of reasons, I wasn't really happy with it (the macro guys get HEAPS better shots just playing around), and though it sort of fitted the theme, I felt it lacked a certain j'nais ces't qois... but I don't know what it is. Here is my short list that didn't make the cut.
1. Octopod, speaks for itself really.
2. Cassandra, a sculpture in Brisbane representing the Greek Tragedy: Agamemnon. Cassandra was a Trojan princess who prophesied the fall of Troy, captive of Agamamnon and taken to Greece, and killed with Agamemnon at his welcome feast by his wife, Clytemnestra, and her lover. Cassandra represents Prophesy.
3. Agamemnon (as above), represents Power.
4. Some detail of Agamemnon
5. Aegisthus, son of Agamemnon and Cassandra who returs to Greece and avenges his fathers murder. Aegisthus represents The Machine .
Great family story really . I really like these sculptures, and not because Clytemnestra (couldn't get a good shot because of the lighting) looks like a Darlek :).
Anyway, Cassandra would have been my second choice, but I got a brainwave driving home tonight to do a shoot of the kids lego... Gotta love bright colours.

Great image Gary... like it a lot. Some pretty cool interpretations from everyone, and great theme.

Some from my back catalogue that might have suited the theme, but I didn't really want to use a fall back unless I really had to. I was lucky enough to get out and try and get something new. The Kurilpa is my favourite bridge... a very different suspension bridge.
Hi Tony,
Wow! I think if we had geometric as the theme for every month for the next year,
you still wouldn't run out of ideas! Some nice images!
Some of the John West's from Warren, Brad and Baz are knock-out images too!
As Chris mentioned, it was great to see such a large variety of entries and I am
pleased as punch to see so many respond so strongly to the theme.

Thanks Gary. Lots to do with a theme like that, but I'm glad that it is different every month... Gives you something to think about.
The lego got the short straw, and Cassandra got promoted.
