SPX350 F4,53, ATK-16HR, Astrodon filters.

Thought I would have a try at some of the faint Terzans/Palomars and after Dennis posted his informative eyopening Palomar 6 image with recently discovered elusive planetary nebula JaFu1 I thought it would be worth a try.

I used the Ha5nm filter and following day tried the OIII 3nm filter to see if I could pick up any sign of the planetary nebula and sure enough it appeared in the HaRGB although not in initial RGB. May be worth a go in the IR742nm next time. Palomar 6 came out well with nice concentrated structure.

I love HiRes work of Rolf/Dennis et al as it is so imaginative.

Ha-5x5m
O3-7x10m
R-8x5m
GB-5x5mins.

Thanks for looking, John.

Lovely images John, you have definitely nailed it there! I now know this region quite well after spending hours looking for JaFu 1 in my image.

Great resolution, nice round stars and lovely processing too.

Cheers

Dennis

Excellent images John :) Congratulations on catching this one.
It looks quite extended, you've picked up a lot of signal from that little planetary. It really shines in Ha it seems!
I need a more sensitive camera for this one I think, it wasn't in my RGB image when I tried for it last month, but now I see why. New camera is expected around the end of the year :D
Thanks for the view.

Thanks for taking a look and thanks to Dennis for the heads up. My Ha is 5nm which includes NII so would be interesting to see it in NII alone but do not have the filter unfortunately but may give it a quick try in IR742nm just to see if it is there.

I was suprised how big it was in Ha as in Dennis RGB image was just a star point while it said it was 8" wide which should show but it is 16-17th mag. Should really tried longer Ha subs.

John.

Hells bells. Would have been an easy thing to miss.

Nice capture. Gee you'd have to have confidence you were pointing in the right spot.
