Hi All,

480mm is pushing the limits of AP, but managed a reasonable effort on Friday as it is only time without homework and a break in the weather. Clouds are back again so I think there is limit again on imaging for a while.

Webcam 1600 x 1200 resolution @ 5 fps.
80mm triplet 480mm FL F5
Double Polarizing Filter
IR Filter
SharpCap software
Seeing 4/10 due to moon dropping into Kwinana industrial area (24 hour a day pollution).

This was also an experiment in processing as well and even with the new Registax AVIStack is still far easier and just as accurate.

The weather over here has been ordinary hasn't it. At least ye ol Moon is a quick and reliable target when all else fails.

Nice image Malcolm esp down near the bottom which appears a little sharper there than the top.

Thanks Mike.

Thanks Darrin, The weather I think is about the same as last year, not a lot of imaging time. Although I personally like the winter, I can't wait for Spring t come.
I think the sharpness issue is to do with merging 2 images. using iMerge. I think the overlap is quite excessive and is showing the turbulence between the 2 images. Next time I think I will shoot the video a bit differently.

Thanks Ray, Michael.

I noticed something that may require a repo, the turbuence was quite high and merging 2 images I may have had too much overlap so the fuzziness might be due to the cross over. Will try to cut off a bit of one image then try merging them to see if it will improve.
