Anyone look outside this morning and see the 3rd quarter moon very close to Antares?

I'm not sure if it was an occultation in different parts of the country (or world), but they looked to be about 30-60' apart from my part of the world.

It was clear this morning, which was a surprise to me.. sort of wish I'd set the telescope up for some more moon/jupiter action but i've only just recovered from processing the last lot! :)

I had a quick peek when it was a moon diameter away. It just skimmed the edge later on I believe but didn't see it then.

Earlier on it skimmed the star above and left of Antares ..er, SAO 184336 or 20 Sigma Scorpii. I took a shot of the moon at that time and just realised I also have the star in the frame which I processed further for it to show up.

It's slightly trailed in this image due to motion blur - the moon was 1000 frames.

Looked spectacular didn't it. Was the only hole in the clouds I'v had in about two months, @*&^%$ clouds.

Twas another 'pretty' sight this morning. Tried, again for that elusive comet but was once again, 'foiled by the low cloud @ just the wrong altitude'. Maybe tomorrow morning..... :D L.
