Hi all,

seeing has been 6/10 for a while, and high cloud causing problems with quality estimate in registax.

Captured 900 frames in optimized colour, split into rgb avi and then using my latest setting ie 50% gamma

1/25 exp, 40% gain. due to cloud.

Happy given the conditions

How come your Jupiter looks a little different to Mikes? the colour mainly, features look nice and venus now thats an excellent catch!

mike captures via the standard binaries or maybe the newer 900nc binaries. they tend to give the planet a more contrast in regards to the browns. they are more towards a coppery brown.

i use the raw mode @ 5fps when i can or step down to optimized colour at 10 fps. the colours are softer???

which is right - i have no idea???

___________

and here is a moon shot

WOWEEE!

Lovely images mate! My favorite being venus (taking nothing away from joop & the moon)

I tend to under expose venus so you end up with no burnouts. Looks like you have exposure times pretty close I reckon.

Great stuff Dave, I think I will have to come and get some lessons from you when I get my camera! Just watching how your imaging has improved in the short time I have been a member is inspiring me to take the plunge and get myself a Toucam.

A very nice mornings work Dave, especially given the conditions.

A quick process on your copernicus shot brings it up a bit better.. though the seeing just couldn't hold up to that mag, giving it a blurry/grainy look.

Hi DP, you are a planetary Machine! Jupiter looks great, maybe not the fine-ness of detail of your best, but it's all there and the colour looks great. These moon shots are gob-smacking, especially copernicus. Well done matee:thumbsup:
