Comet Garrad and NGC7094

Hi All,
I took this image of Comet Garrad last Monday 1st August and was suprised to find a planetary, NGC7094 also in the field of view. You can see in at the bottom right hand side at 5 0'clock.

The image is a total of 2 x 3 minutes at 1600iso through my Canon 500D at prime focus with my trusty 8" f/4.

That's a nice catch. what coma corrector are you using, your stars are nice and round, is this a cropped view?

Thanks for the feedback. This is the full frame just reduced for this site and I am using the Baader CC, it's the one I bought off a member of this site and it works like a dream.

Thanks Ross, From my home observatory in Wollongong. Skies are not the best but better than the big city furthur north. On a good night I can visually see the fainter galaxies around NGC4945, but when I am imaging? Need the Light Polution Filter.

Thanks jjj...yours is not too shabby either, I looked at yours and went Wow! I mean this Comet is moving quite fast by exposure terms as you can see the apparent movement after a 2 minute exposure so stacking for a full back ground is really not an option unless you stack on the Comet for trailing stars that is but you nailed it big time.

You can take your series of 2 or 3 minutes exposures and turn them into an animation.
Which is what I did last night. LOL

That jjj I might try, I did it once before for on McNaught and that turned out pretty good, the only downside was the finished movie was on the 16mb mark.

Anthony...it's not too bad for 6 minutes worth of work plus of course the slight stacking and processing, I will be keeping an eye on this one and catch some more images when the clouds part.
