It's a 2" model I presume... ?

That makes a big difference! $70 ONO is a good price for the 2" barlow, but not too hot for the 1.25".

I need to buy a 2x barlow but don't know if I should get a 2" or 1.25".
I thought the 2" with a 1.25" reducer would be a good all-rounder as most of my EP's are 1.25".
I know there's alot of glass in a 2" as well as weight but don't know how this would affect the image.
Thoughts...

double check with janoskiss, but i would go this 2" barlow and adapter for your 1.25"
if your focuser takes 2" then a 2" barlow (with adapter) is definitely the way to go. the 1.25" GS barlow is very ordinary bordering on poor. the 2" is substantially better i am lead to believe...

what do you mean not too hot for the 1.25"? its just an adapter that slides into the 2" tube, no extra lenses or anything.
i haven't got a picture of this one i'm advertising, but it's exactly the same as this one.

Sorry, I'd better clarify. I meant that $70 ono is a good price for the 2" Bintel barlow, but it would not be a good 2nd hand price for the inferior 1.25" Bintel barlow, which retails for $69 new.
The 2" barlow will work with both 2" and 1.25" eyepieces, and will not vignette with 1.25" wide angle eyepieces, like the 1.25" barlow might.
