Evening people,

The last few times we have had a look at Saturn over the last week or so, we have noticed a small star about 1cm to it's left (that's with our upside down view), which follows it across the telescope and we are wondering if it's one of it's moon

Very likely Tammy. I've been seeing 3 or 4 moons the last few times I looked. Apart from Titan, which is often some distance from the Planet and usually easily seen, they are small pinpricks of light. Not as distinctive as Jupiter's four big moons (which are also a lot closer, of course).

Highly likely. I saw two moons at 9 o'c of Saturn tonight only through a 3" refractor.

Very possible indeed Tammy. Download Stellarium www.stellarium.org (http://www.stellarium.org) free and wonderful software. When you zoom in it will show the positions of the Moons of all the planets.
This is an image for tonight from Stellarium, showing the positions of the Moons. :)

Yep. Titan is bright enough to be visible in virtually any telescope and at least another 3 are visible in a small scope.
