Yep a 155 ought to out perform my 60mm. Very crisp and sharp image. Great detail in the prominences but I am not a fan of your colour scheme. Just does not look right to me, but each to their own. Since the Sun is officially a G2V star (which is apparently white) I guess most any colour will do.

Awesome shot again. Very consistent work. That'd be great if you could put a tutorial online of your basic flow process, capture, settings, stitching, program used, etc... to share your mojo.

Ah..a 155mm H-ALpha filter...I wish :) The reality is it's still a 90 mm aperture when used with the Coronado.
As for the colour, as I mentioned earlier it should be really deep red, as that is the real colour of the chromosphere...but the data is mono, hence dealer's choice rules...and in my case I prefer a yellow-orange disk. Though I might post a roll-over "real" colour version ;)
Thanks H :)
Thanks, but unless you are using the same camera, filter etc, it may be more of a hinderance than help. I'll think about it.

Cool - Processing/Mosaicking techniques and generic howto/setup would still be relevent IMHO.

Still a fair size of aperture though. :)
You might like to know that the image is not yellow orange; that would be cool. Your image comes out pinky brown Peter. I don't know if you know that?
