It's outstanding. I like the little moon coming from behind too.

Brilliant, especially watching Ganymede appear :)

Mike did you do this or did Dennis?

I'd love to do a Gif of my recent Jupiter but am "GIF challenged";)

cheers,

Great effort, Dennis! Thanks for sharing. I know a lot of work goes into all the processing etc.

Really appreciate your efforts.

How come the pics have a "newsprint" look? The original series of images looked much more detailed I thought. (Sorry to be a picky party pooper. :ashamed: )

Hi Steve

The newsprint look is the result of the application, Corel PhotoPaint 12, converting the 2.6Mb avi into a 145Kb gif. There are probably other avi to gif conversion applications out there that introduce fewer compression artifacts?

Cheers

Check your saturn gif thread Dennis. I've suggested one there.

Very nice. Sorry to ask a silly question, but was this taken in one night or is it many nights stacked together. I have looked at Jupiter and I didn't think it moved this fast.

Hi CJ

This was one night, or should I say morning, from 04:24am to 04:52am. Here is a collage of the series:
