It was just a quick imaging session on M16 unguided with NEQ6 8"newton at f5 with a canon 550d at 39 degrees. I spent awhile on alignment :) managed to do 2min subs the best I have done to date. Normally I only get 40 sec or so, so I was wrapped to get 2mins. I would have done heaps more but I remembered I had to look after the kids in the morning.

Soon ill be guidescope and coma corrector ;)

Really nice.
I love imaging the eagle.
Hubble and it's pillars image male this a very special target.
I intend to give this target a lot more attention.

Thanks guys for the comments, although I have a long way to go it was exciting capturing quite a challenging target.

Haha sarcasm aye, thats why I posted in the beginners:hi::P

But in my opinion the stars aren't the best, its noisy and the colours maybe out. For the number of exposures and time im happy with the results.

I'm looking forward to the arrival and a moonless night with the cc and guidescope!!

Definitely a lot of potential there. More data and auto guiding will make an even bigger difference.

Well done!
