I've just arrived home, Our club M.A.S. had the privelige hosting Fred Watson. What a magnificent speaker, very down to earth ( pardon the pun ) and very easy to listen to. I could of stayed all night!!! John vp, M.A.S.

Fred's very charasmatic and an allround nice guy, did he bring his guitar? As a guitarist/vocalist he makes a good astronomer. Sorry Fred in case your reading this :o)

yeah it was a great talk. he did the whole gravity thing. I even understood some of it... laughs all around!
I couldnt stay after the talk tho unfortunately.
It was great tho... spent the first 15 mins before the talk chatting to a new comer whos wife just bought a telescope for him to get him out of his hair. nice guy. i think it all went way over his head but he enjoyed himself anyhow. I think he may have joined that night. :)
