Here is an image of tonight's Saturn in OK seeing. Shot with a 12" SkyWatcher Goto Dobsonian, Canon EOS 550D and a Powermate 5x.

Thanks Tom,
Hard for me to see, let alone capture Saturn in this part of its apparition. The Pecan tree starts to get in the way pretty early, and I don't have much opportunity to get out before the kids are in bed. Always next season.
Jupiter Season will be starting for me pretty soon, I guess, and I can't wait for steady sky at a reasonable hour with the 9.25 and the 4x Powermate!

I've said it before and I'll say it again Tom, you do the best imaging of Saturn using a DSLR camera that I've seen this entire season. Capturing the division of the North Tropical Zone from the North Temperate Zone (directly above the red NEB) with a T2i takes a lot of skill and effort.

Nice work Tom, 5x Powermate is a 1.25in how did you connect it to your camera?

Thanks guys. Malcolm, I used Tele Vue's T-ring for 1 1/4" Powermate and the T-mount adaptor for Canon EF.
Cheers,
Tom

Thanks Tom, I have always wanted to get 5 x Teleview but wasn't sure of connecting.
Does it alter the focus travel by much (barlows do)?

Thats a good late season Saturn, noticed the stars were not twinkling last night, even Vega was calm.
John.
