Houghy,

We at AS&T are very excited about it. With major investors behind S&T now, their ability to expand what they publish for amateurs worldwide will increase, and that benefits all of us here.

Pleased to see that AS&T are "very excited" about S&T being taken over by a newly-formed US venture capital company and also that the new US owners will be publishing more for Australian amateurs.

On the subject of publishing more: You mentioned in a post on 10/02/06 that "All of our magazine websites (not just AS&T) are down at the
moment". I'm pleased to see that the sites weren't down for long.

I'm keen to learn about all the other magazine web sites you have as I would like to purchase the other magazines - I have been only able to locate
'Australian Woodsmith' which I have already purchased. Be great if you'd let us know about the other titles.

Also, I noticed on the Paragon web site that since the web site came back online that you no longer have the Milton Black astrology magazine 'Black &
Beyond' - I know this was being advertised on the Paragon site late last year. When does Paragon intend to introduce that Milton Black astrology
magazine? The more magazines the better I say.

Unfortunately Greg Bryant is away at the moment, but I thought a response to your thread was necessary. Please be assured that the change of ownership of S&T will not change the quality of magazine of the US magazine or affect the production of AS&T. We are excited by the change in ownership because it means another trip to the US to meet the new guys.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com[IMG]http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/ /><o:p></o:p>

I’d be happy to give you a good subs rate. Todd (AS&T Publisher) and I have several other magazine interests including a custom magazine for TabCorp’s Star City Casino. We won the bid to produce it against Packer’s ACP, TextPacific and FPC Magazines. See the attached write up in B&T Magazine. <FONT face=Arial><FONT color=#800080>http://www.bandt.com.au/news/67/0c03c267.asp (http://www.bandt.com.au/news/67/0c03c267.asp)<FONT color=black><o:p></o:p>

Yes - I'm an inveterate 'builder of things' and I would be keen to take you up on your kind offer of a 'good subs rate' for Australian Woodsmith. I presume
this offer would also apply to AS&T? As you normally offer a 25% discount I presume a 'good subs rate' would be 33% to 50% off for a 1 year sub to each.
Just let me know how much and I'll get a cheque off to you at Paragon.

On the Star City Casino magazine - I'll pass on that one. I am not into gambling and I wouldn't want to encourage it any way (I personally think gambling is a blight on society) but to each his own, I guess.

Still - you're a good salesman and you've got me for two of your three titles and that ain't bad.

Thanks for providing this info instead of Greg. I see that you've only just joined the forum and this was your first post (Welcome!). I look forward to further posts from you.
