Well overall i am wrapped.

Being able to swap between modes to suit the conditions is starting to come together for me.

Seeing was 6 to 7/10, so a bit jelly like, not still and crisp like the 8/5 and 9's.

10fps was needed here to capture "lesser definition detail" but more of them so stacking can do it thing.

Thanks to ice, i have backed the gamma off a bit and done an auto levels and auto colour in photoshop, so it has a slightly different finish to the cloudynights one i posted. I prefer this one.

So at the moment, I am very happy with higer gamma (50%), higher gain (50%).

Not to put the mocker on the conditions but i have been very lucky since late january. Basically i have had a 9/10, 2 x 8/10, 6/10 and then some rubbish.

But every night i have been able to capture something and test something different, so for all newbies, don't wait for that perfect night to start capturing, even the crappiest video will teach you something. There is heaps of great data around of jupiter and saturn to test your processing skills, just ask one of us and it is yours to play with.

David, your an inspiration to all of us:prey2:

Your enthusiasm, attention to detail and willingness to share results has already saved me hours of wasted effort. Many thanks, though I guess the real thanks comes from the satisfaction of images like this below :)

Just great. The version with the reduced gamma via AstraImage looks much better.

nice job.

Excellent image Dave.

This has definitely tweaked my interest in webcam imaging.
