NGC 6559 and surrounds.

LRGB = 70min, 30min, 30min, 70min in 10 minute subs

Camera : QHY9 with Baader LRGB filters
Scope: Takahashi TSA 120

Subs calibrated, aligned and combined in CCDStack, Fiddled with Photoshop CS4.
I shot some more of the blue channel and removed some of the colour subs which were below par. I am reasonably happy with the end result but just not sure about the colour balance. I have moved this all over and decided to leave it where I started.

It looks detailed enough.. As a first glance, the reflection nebulosity seems a touch magenta..ish.

Thanks Clive, I was a bit concerned about the reflection neb colour but thats the way it came up. Red and blue = purple I suppose.

Plenty of data there Doug. The first looks too red to me in the stars and the second is almost there but the golden stars are not showing up. When I did this I had to do several layer masks to get the colour of the star and the colour of the nebula how I wanted. Some minor tweeks and you are there I reckon.

Thanks Paul, colour balance is my pet hate. Star colour is next. I look at it today and it seems OK then tomorrow it seems off. I feel I can only rely on others comments. I must be going blind well at least colour blind.
