The eclipse was my first effort with a camera on the LX200-8 Classic I have been restoring, with Autostar conversion, for the past year (Thanks Steve and Lars). This one shot caught a lucky conjunction of no shake, good seeing and decent focus. I like the detail along the rim.

Hi Del
The restoration project is going well! What type of attachments are you using to hold the camera to the scope?
Nice Moon too - we can never see enough of it!

Thanks Matt
Still finding my feet.
I have a Bintel Crayford-style 10:1 focusser. I had a multi-function camera adapter with the EOS T-RIng and found that the main barrel from that fits nicely in the 2" port. (I suppose it is not accidental:) ).
Focus is still a challenge even with the Live View because I am long-sighted (over 50) and my glasses are designed for working at a computer.
Too bad I can't upgrade MY optics :(
No chance it will ever get too easy and uninteresting!
BTW - The 60D is gorgeous!
Cheers
Del
