Here's a couple of full disc shots of the sun from yesterday and today. There's more proms and high res detail to follow as I process them.

Hi Al,
Wow – what a superb couple of images. When I first opened them, I thought that I had accidentally clicked on a NASA website. You’re producing some wonderful results with this gear.
If only I could have had these as a background for the recent ISS transit!
Cheers

Thanks very much for the kind words, guys.
Actually, Dennis, after seeing your ISS transit yesterday, I've made myself a Baader solar film filter for the ED80 so I'm ready next time I get a transit. Hopefully I should be able to over lay the white light images of the ISS over the Ha background of the sun... fingers crossed.;)
Here's a some more detailed shots. The seeing wasn't real good so I've had a few challenges when processing them to get reasonable images.

Hi Al
That is a great series of images! Your disc stuff is really good, I do enjoy seeing them - good luck with the next ISS transit!

Thanks Matt. The discs are no where near the image scale that Peter Ward gets, but I bet they're nowhere near as much work to process either.
The little SM40 filter doesn't do a bad job at that resolution at all, but I think I'd like a bigger aperture for the more high res stuff.
