I am currently going through a few of my solar imaging avi files of April 2010 and neglected to note the AR- designation of a couple of prominences I captured. I've conducted a quick search of a few solar sites but I'm unable to locate an AR designation for mine.

Can anyone direct me to a good resource?

Regards,
Stephen

You can check out the archives by entering the date you need to review.
ie on the 24 April 2010 - there were no active areas recorded.

Active area # refer to surface activity - proms etc may be associated with an AR at the limb, but are not given their own number.

That makes perfect sense. THere was no active surface area which I could identify on my images that appears either in close proximity or related to the prominences I captured. Thanks for clarifying that for me.

Stephen
