... to the morning sunrise these last two mornings. Wasn't sure yesterday but definitely this morning. The dust from Chile has spread out as I would expect and I guess it is pretty fine and high up. Only really apparent in the first very low level sun break but different from our normal pink tinged sky.

Yeah I noticed the same, particularly yesterday. It was a very warm golden orange hue for a while, quite unusual for NZ.
Almost like a good old European polluted sunrise :D I really noticed the difference when I relocated down here. I thought sunsets and sunrises were always so colourful, but it was just because of the pollution in the northern hemisphere...
