Here's a little project I'm working on (prototype). It mounts to the telescope with velcro. A few more cables and clips and the power should be nice and tidy.

Very tidy work indeed Tim. How did you do the lettering on the Aluminium plate?

Looks very nice - my only suggestion would be some sort of plug that screws or locks into place to avoid untimely disconnections - I hate the fact that most of our gear connects with these sort of plugs. The only good one I've see like this is the Astro-Physics plug which has a retaining screw around the male plug. Unfortunately it still wiggles in the socket enough to cause the power light to flicker...

Aha! If only.
It's actually laminated paper,so I laid it out in InDesign, used one printout to mark up the box for drilling and the other for the panel.
The panel is not entirely sealed from the environment, so I'll have to see what the damp does to it, but it's a first draft.

You're quite right, and that was something I noticed. I'm looking to get some more secure plugs to play around with. The great thing about solder is it comes right back off again! :)
