Ta...not sure...it hops like one!
Its slightly bigger than the plague locusts that I have seen before.

I'll raise you a cricket - look at this guys skin - he must be a Rasta as well - note the red eyes from too much pot!

Doesn't look quite like a cricket to me, especially with the leaf camouflage colour, long antennae and flattened body. I think it's a katydid (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katydid).:) Love that textured/patterned skin you've captured in the extreme closeup.
