read the detail H - it is made up of 8 panels probably is HDRed to boot - but it is really well done i think - i am jealous;)

Wow alright. Certainly a wonderful shot.
I wish they'd put more technical detail in APOD to tell you have they did it (for this and all of them).
How dose that work, have to think it was pasted in there some how.

Cool and very innovative.
Star fields during total Lunar eclipses have been photographed many years before , but at this scale and depth?! Nah...
....a well deserved APOD!
Although it dose look pretty good, it is totally ruined by the names placed within.

I'm with H on this looks like the moon superimposed over the background not natural IMO
