So many galaxies so little time, a quick shot of some galaxies in Markarian's chain. taken with 18" @ f3.3 Newtonian using QHY9 camera, RGB was 30 minutes each.
Clear skies Ken.

That's a great shot Ken, nicely framed, it's an amazxing galaxy field.

How are you getting the F3.3?

Thanks Mike the reducer is a meade 6.3 sct reducer no one seems to know how well these things work on a Newt  so don't tell anyone will you:lol:. I measured the distance between the same two stars off the laptop screen and the reducer works @ .75. The only problem now is accurate focusing and collimation. Is that cateye thingy you use any good?.
Clear skies Ken.

This image forced me to read up on Markarian's chain on wikipedia. I'm just curious as to what kind of a galaxy (light source with halo in the center) is? I see no spiral arms not sure if its because the image is taken from earth or the detail is not there due to distance?

Silly question maybe someone can answer.

Nice work Ken.
You have captured the amazing variety of Galaxies in the area well.

I really love touring through the Coma Berenices area even though it is really too low for me, but I enjoy exploring all the galaxy fields within it.

Here is an image I captured of almost all of Coma Berenices and then the Galaxies marked.
Open image and just click on the 'next image' arrow repeatedly :)

Great image! I am glad the reducer is working. I have a 2" laser collimator for you to try.

Sorry for the late reply I have had service provider issues this week. Thanks for the comments Atalus , Yugant and the other Ken who captured a fine image of most of Coma B. this area needs a deep wide field shot to show all these objects. Enrique would love to borrow your collimator.
