Got up early this morning and completely changed my plans of carting the scope and mount, to shootin widefield from the city.

Checked Google Earth last night and saw that the position I wanted could be on the riverside bikeway. Shot a few shots near the beginning over the William Jolly Bridge, than walked further down the bikeway to find a good possie looking at the Eye... then stayed there.

Thanks Bob, Marc, Evan, Trevor, and Jeanette. As said earlier, this was one of the most satisfying sessions I have had. Very happy how the images have turned out.

Didn't remember to watch the news tonight... I sent the image to the Newsroom, didn't know where else to send it. Can't see my image on the website so they might have used someone else's image. I see that you have your images in Spaceweather.com... cool. They posted mine as well.

Should go to bed as it was a very short night followed by a very long day, but I want to do a few things first.

Hi Tony

Great shots Tony in a stunning setting. Narelle shouted down the hallway that she saw an eclipse photo on the evening news last night, showing the Brisbane Wheel – that must have been yours?

Cheers

Thanks Bill, Matt, andDavid. Mike I was cinsidering to go to New Farm and meet you if my position didn't meet expectationes. I have to say it exceded them, thanks for you comments. You should have come down Troy, I was a lonely little astronomer on the bikeway... a bit daunting at 4:00

Thanks Dennis, I guess it was my shot as I sent it to them and I didn't see anyone else shooting the Wheel from the bike track. That's not to say someone hadn't shot from one of the building in the City. I sent the image to 7 but hadn't received a reply from them.
