Hi Sonia

Welcome to the forum. I used to live in Leeds before emigrating to Oz. Skies are absolutely delicious down under with so many more clear nights than I remember in the UK. A little warmer here too! Good luck with the studies.

Cheers

Dennis

Welcome to the Forum Sonia.

Unlike Dennis, I lived much closer before coming to Australia, Doncaster.
Last November I visited my sister who still lives there. I was homesick for real fish and chips and real beer.

It will be interesting to see some Northern Hemisphere stuff again.

appreciate the sentiment, but a group of aussies in black Iceinspace shirts that do not get taken off except to be washed on the sabbath, with sandals and socks pulled up and the odd pink frilly dress may not be what you consider to be fun to join in our daily group hugs.

"rose amongst the thorns" comes to mind

disclaimer: aussie sense of humour may or may not contribute towards telling the truth, except in said circumstances of frilly pink dresses!

Welcome Sonia to IIS. :hi:
You're gonna have a great time here on the forum, we all do.
Great to see people from all around the world joining up.

Careful with David_P he thinks he's only joking but ever since he started splitting his RGB channels he's got
a multi-personality complex disorder.

I too welcome you to the forums, given you hail from the UK, the Pythonesc humor of most around may appeal.

Welcome Sonia, lost of good advice on this forum if you stick around and ask lots of questions.

I have the Skywatcher 10" Dob and am very happy with it, you should be too.

DP, not a good picture, probably true but very disturbing.
