First image with my 150mm f/8 Achromat refractor. I spend a lot of time correcting Spherical aberration in it.
Single image Canon 30D 7 deg C 1/300 sec ISO 100 APT capture in RAW, CS5 colour bal and slight stretch saved in 50% Tiff.

That's an excellent image Dave - you clearly fixed the S.A. Regards Ray

Great shot Dave:)

No aberration of any sort in that image, at least it appears that way. If there is, it might be a very slight yellow fringe, although that could be my eyes!!!.

You'll have to try some planets and a few DSO's with this scope if its optics are this good for an achro!!.

Ah....well instead of buying a brand new mount, just buy the Synscan goto drives for it. MyAstroShop (http://www.myastroshop.com.au/products/details.asp?id=MAS-022K) has them. They're $675.

A really nice result David and what a lovely balance with the exposure. The brightest regions not being saturated and the darker regions not to dark.
