Hi All, this might be my last Mars... the red planet's dipping into the branches of the Ironbark tree shortly after sunset now.

650 of 1800 frames stacked and LR deconvolution processed in Astra Image.

Have a close look at the darker area toward to and you'll just makeout the eye of mars (Solis Lacus) lurking within. Slight light patch on top is the reforming south polar cap and north polar hood is the larger light area at bottom. Very happy with this little effort  - seeing was ordinary say 5/10and Mars 7.5 arc second.

Oh and Asi... "tag... your IT"

cheers,

You're got more persistance than me Robert, I gave up mr Red a long time ago.. forced to though thanks to trees in the north west.

Great effort.

Thanks Mike,

I ran Mars Previewer to confirm the detail I've capture was indeed Solis Lacus the Eye of Mars - looks like it is - the attached shows what the view should be all things being perfect.

cheers,
