Finally got a chance to give my new Hutech 5D mkII a try.
All shots taken with the FSQED at F3.64 1600 ISO 180" unguided , looks encouraging but not so sure with the SMC shot with the green nebula seems strange.
Thanks for looking , CC welcome .

Thanks
I don't have a home page anymore after closing the observatory but it would take all day for me to upload high res images here as were on dial-up.
i bought the camera second hand on astromart which worked out cheaper and less risky than buy a secondhand one here and having it modded .

Thanks

Zane,

Are these all single frame shots? Quite amazing actually and there is a lot of potential there!! Crikey! My 40D is being retired from work shortly so looking into modding.

You must be very happy with these results so far??

Hi Darrin
Yep just single exposures with minimal processing due to me being lazy .
Quite happy with the results for the little effort put in which suits me .

Thanks

Zane,

Fantastic, I can understand why you are happy with that (I would be excited about those preliminary results). A Tak + 5D MkII is certainly a very nice combination.

Good luck with the 5D and can't wait to see some of your results.

Cheers,
Darrin...

Love the M8/M20 shot. Wonderful colours, FOV and star clouds coming out. Looking very promising!

The first one is very nice. I would like to see a much larger resolution image but I understand about dial up. Well done.

Hi Zane,

Amazing photos with minimal effort.

No autoguiding, no stacking, minimal processing...it's what astrophotography should be.

You've found the Holy Grail!

Thanks.

Ross.

Thanks everyone
Yes Ross the new " Lazyboy " imaging system suits me ,
Its everything that was promissed by the Schmidt Cameras in the 1970s but never quite delivered about all they solved was focusing.
