This request is probably in the wrong section, not sure where to put it, mods feel free to move it.

What is the possibility for one of our experienced planet imagers of getting a image of Jupiter and Saturn for me on the 13 June, which is Monday next week.

Why you may ask, well last year someone did exactly that, and I have two beautiful pictures with the dates and settings, and it happened to be my 60th Birthday that year.;)

This year I will be 61, and I would be so greatful to have another set if at all possible. :) :) just something silly on my part :thanx:

Many thanks in anticipation.

Leon

Hi Leon,

Here is my contribution for the 13th :) Sorry I couldn't get better quality images as Brisbane seeing was very poor. Hopefully others have managed alot better! The only thing I could do was to make sure they were taken exactly 12 hours apart.

Cheers,

Tom

Best Wishes for your Birthday Leon.

Captured Saturn June 13th at 08:41 UTC.
Have had a very productive week or so with Saturn & Jupiter but for this Saturn data the volcanic ash cloud from Chile was starting to have an effect, with a noticeable drop in my histo and less detail on Saturn.

At 4:30 am local this morning (still June 13th with respect to UTC) I had a go at Jupiter. There was no cloud in the sky but Jupiter looked a bit hazy. My Hist which I run at 85% for Jup was at 50% and there was virtually no detail visible on Jupiter in any channel, not even IR, which normally handles low alt and atmosphere disturbances quite well. Apparently it baulks at ash in the atmosphere.

I apologize for not being able to produce a Jup for your birthday.

Regards and Best Wishes
Trevor
