Mount for Solar Scope

Hi all
I am looking at purchasing a scope to view the sun (Lunt/Solarmax) in the 60mm to 80mm range. Need suggestions for a good dedicated tracking mount, that is easy to set up for novice user of tracking mounts

I assume you will want to consider imaging?
An EQ2-3 or an EQ5 would certainly do the job for you.

I'll bet a pound to a penny that after your first Ooooohhhh -Aaahhh view you will want to take an image of it!
I'd recommend looking at the Imaging Source DMK41 camera and Registax V6.

or you could try the Flea 3 camera. If your good with computers id go for the flea 3 if your not affaid to jump into the deep end.

Thanks for the info, i will probably get the scope with either a BT1200 or BT18oo, as I use A Bino for viewing, so if I do catch the Bug(imaging) at least I will have the filter, so is the EQ3 enough or should I look to EQ5 or better?

I have an EQ3 which is most suitable for viewing with my PST. It has no motors and is very stable and light.

It is not suitable for imaging (I tried) because it vibrates too much with the aluminium legs - perhaps with steel tube legs it may be stable enough.

The EQ3 was stable enough for viewing through a 150mm reflector but I would have to wait a few seconds for image to stabilise on high magnifications.
