This galaxy, M83, was harder to image than I thought! Its faint and surrounded in what seems like fine dust or haze. Anyway, this image was taken as follows:
LRGB 32:32:32:32
Atik 314L @ -20deg C
EQ6, 8 inch f5 Newt
Bias / Darks applied
CS2 PS

Just a little clipped IMHO but you've collected great data. Well done.

Its a great image all the same Paul. You may have missed much of the surrounding sirrus type stars, you have done a great job on the galactic detail. It almost has a depth to the outer parts of the spiral.

Nice one Paul and I agree withPonders that there is a subtle difference in your galaxy's pRocessing that looks very nice.

This has come up well Paul for so little data. This one is surprisingly dim and requires lots of data to do it real justice.

Thanks for your comments. Yes, I agee that more time is required on this! I wish my house didn't get in the way of my imaging runs (only have a 2 hour window each night!).
Also, I was surprised at the spiral arms and the detailed look they gave! Must be the Sonychip being sensative to this type of detail.
