have just bought a vintage lens called a "Lester A Dine" it is a 20-25 year old 100mm f2.8 dentistry lens made by kiron of japan and rated as one of the best 1to1 macros produced. i have been looking for one for a while, so when one appeared on ebay i had to get it, very happy. so this is my first attempt at fungi. the group of six is smaller than a five cent piece, enjoy:D found these on a log next to my letter box

That first image is straight out of a fairy tale. Like, something out of Princess Mononoke.
Absolutely stunning. And, magnificent lighting.

That 1st image has a striking resemblance to jelly fish underwater near a rocky reef.
Beautiful! And thanks for sharing.

I had the same thoughts as H in regards to the first one.
I noticed the great lighting too.
I reckon this would be a prize winner if entered in a competition

And thanks H, any comparison to any of Hayao Miyazaki's work is a thrill:D

From memory Brad said that illumation was via a hand held white LED torch. Interesting to see the way the stems act like light pipes.
