That's amazing.

I'd never heard of Richard Feynman before yesterday, but in three totally separate places his name has come up.

Firstly I was reading up on safecracking and he was mentioned in the text. Then I was reading about the Challenger disaster, and his name came up again. I googled him yesterday after that, what an amazing person. And now today his name comes up again!

Cheers,
Jason.

Hi,

Yes, I should have for certain. A big name he is.

Mind, I wonder how much I'd have understood.

Cheers

That was another coincidence.

I have been looking at safes for a friend, and thought I'd read up on different designs and their weaknesses. Lo and behold, up popped an article written by one of my favourite writer/producers/scientists Tim Hunkin. It was his article that mentioned Richard Feynman.

Cheers,
Jason.

Hi Jason,

Demographics will tell us that the typical IceInSpace regular is likely to have one
or more books either written by or written about Richard Feynman on their bookshelves.

The books by Feynman's friend, Ralph Leighton, such as "Surely You're
Joking, Mr Feynman" or "What Do You Care What Other People Think"
have always been popular.

Before the recent demise of bricks and mortar book stores, you were likely
to find a copy of either or both in just about any book better store in Australia,
but in any case, you should have no problem tracking them down online.

The book "Tuva or Bust!" by Richard Leighton and the associated video documentary,
"The Last Journey of a Genius" tell a beautiful travel story where half the story
is trying to get to Tuva in the first place. The documentary is available here on YouTube -

Great read Jason!
That has some real good facts about safes and their vulnerabilities ( or lack thereof now).
Cheers for that!
