Very, very nice:):)
Now for a FLI16803 or an Apogee U16M:):)
They'll compliment the scope just nicely:)...and send you nearly bankrupt in the process!!!.

Congratulations - it looks spanking new! Are you planning to use it for visual work or AP?

Nice acquisition Sir h0ugh. Im starting to suspect that you have a serious case of OTCS (Obsessive Telescope Collectors Syndrome), when you write your memoirs be sure to include a lengthy chapter on how to handle the wife....

Awesome Houghie.
That'll be a super scope for galaxies and closeups.
It'll need the larger pixelled cameras like 9 micron models like 11002, 6303.
Or a compromise with ST10XME that seems quite tolerant as a camera.
I would avoid the KAF8300 chip with that though.
The 6303 would be a good match with short exposures to avoid blooming or longer exposures with narrowband.
Greg.

Avoid the KAF-8300, eh? Oops! I'm using exactly that (QSI-583) on my C14HD. I just bin it at F/11 (native) and f/7.2 (AP CCDT67 reducer) and don't at f/1.9 (Hyperstar). I'll bet it will work even better with the Meade.
