Hi guys.

I haven't had time to process all of my avi's, but I've done most of them and here's a preview.. Just wanted to post something up before the weekend cause I mightn't get time to do the rest over the weekend.

Seeing was good - 7/10.
Jupiter was high (approx 50°)
Transparency wasn't bad (6.5/10)

I used the 900nc firmware mod on my 840k ToUcam, I took 11 avi's, some at 5/10/15fps, with different settings for gamma, gain etc.

The first image was @ 10fps, the second is @ 5fps.

You can see Io playing "peekaboo" on the second image, just egressing from a Jupiter occultation.

I'm fairly happy with this image, though I feel my focus was *just a touch* off. I'll try and improve on that next time.

Comments welcome.

Also what's interesting is another salmon spot in the NEB, on the right hand side on my image..

I also love the disturbance around the GRS, especially on the lower left where it seems clouds are being drawn into the 400-year old hurricane.

thats great mike. so much detail. Io needs to be out from the edge just a tad me thinks... it looks like a growth :P

Nice work Mike, heaps of detail and excellent image scale. :) Does look a tiny bit soft so maybe focus or collimation a squeak off perfect, but pretty damn close.

There does seem to be a lot of salmon activity in the main bands. Saw some of this on mine too and that extension from the GRS pulling more in..

cheers,

So that is what you did before you picked me up for a lift to work at 5am on Thursday morning?:P

Great images, Mike. The peekaboo is something I'd suggest you submit to AS & S or AS & T. Great stuff, mate! :drink:

Thanks for the comments guys. I've pretty much finished processing all of the avi's now, will post the ersults later.

Just trying to create an animation too, though i've only got 7 frames to work with so there's not much rotation.
