Hi guys.

It seems some people have the "Manage Attachments" button missing.

Can you please post here with whether the button is there for you or not, and what browser you are using.

Thanks

it's working in advanced mode for me also, Netcaptor/IE 6.02.. since it opens another window could it be stopped by some popup blockers?

It's not that the attachment popup window doesn't popup, it's that the whole button is not displayed.

Linux, Konqueror.

"Attach files" box just says:
Valid file extensions: bmp doc gif jpe jpeg jpg pdf png psd txt zip

There is no "attach" or "manage attachments" button.

I can see attachment (paperclip) button in the "toolbar" above the type-in box. But none of the formatting "buttons" do anything. The graphic is there for bold, italics, ..., insert link, insert pic etc, but clicking on them does nothing. :confuse3: ... now how does that saying go? ... sg like "if it aint broke don't fix it". :P

It's missing for me.

Working for me now. Tried with Mozilla 1.7.8 (Linux). Works there too. Maybe you need a good cache flush, Bird.

hmm, does that work then? Try going to Tools -> Internet Options" -> Delete all offline content.

Maybe it's a cache issue if it's working for Janos now?

Owl is it working for you now?

janoskiss

There is no "Tools -> Internet Options" in Mozilla 1.7. You can empty the cache and remove cookies though through Edit -> Preferences.

iceman

Is it removing cookies, or deleting cached files that worked for you?

janoskiss
11-02-2006, 03:34 PM
Neither. It just didn't work before but does now.

It has to be a cache/cookie thing. Last time we did a major upgrade of the forum, strange things happened as well until people cleared their cache.

Steve, I know you had a :P smilie at the end, but I feel I should respond anyway..

While there were no problems with the old version, as such, the new version has a lot more features for both moderators, admins and end users. It will also mean upgrades from now on will be much easier as the "hook" plugin system will mean core vB files don't need to be modified in order to install "hacks" and mods to the forum.

yes working for me now mike
you can see i posted the pic of the crayford that i wanted to do in the first place.

i think the "ctrl + f5" did it for me ( which is a forced refresh of the page - ie; cached version is replaced)

I see the site uses several .js files, If the content of these changed but the name didn't then you will often need to clear/refresh the cache to pull the new version (I'm a javascript developer among other things).. for the products I work on we always increment the filenames to avoid this (known) issue.
