I thought I would try my hand (literally) at recording the ISS and Shuttle Endeavour for the pass this evening over Brisbane with the 12" Dobsonian and my Canon EOS 550D. I included a Sigma 2x teleconverter to get some more magnification and decided to shoot at 30 frames/sec and at ISO1600 at 1/1000th sec.

With the setup I aligned the finderscope and practised chasing some planes. There were light broken clouds over the area by the time the spacecraft appeared. I managed to get 100 frames out of 4000 recording the spacecraft. The only trouble was the pair were largely behind cloud and shining through faintly. I don't recall the exact settings I used because I was varying ISO and shutter speed all throughout the 2 minute video.

Anyway, here is the best of my results, with the ISS and Endeavour each a stack of about 10 images.

I am not sure what aspect of the Endeavour I recorded.

Thanks for looking,

Tom

Thanks Stephen, actually I only caught a glimpse of them with the naked eye - the rest of the time was spent fumbling though the finderscope! I knew if I tried for close up shots that I'd miss soaking up the event and getting a nice trail like yours.
