One sees the Minister for Finance using the carbon fibre tube as a wrapping for the financial recalcitrant's head when she finds out that valuable revenue has been outlaid to purchase said instrument:):P:P

The Stellarvue Nighthawk Next Generation is the only 80mm ED telescope to come binoviewer ready. The Nighthawk Next Generation can use binoviewers without optical correctors- providing the widest and brightest possible field of view.
This telescope may be used with a single eyepiece or with a binoviewer without the need of adapters
Flash :)
Oh great just when the credit cards and bank account were recovering from recent feverish activity.......
I'm watching the classifieds from now on....

sweet....
and a great bargain
i am curious, how would you compare this scope optically to the 150mm maks you recently sold (having just acquired a similar one)?
or is it just about portability?

Portability and wider views mostly .... although a 110mm Refractor would be nice.

makes sense, i have two short tubes (one for backpacking, actually bicycle touring) for the same reason.
there doesn't seem to be a real great deal of difference between my 80mm and 102mm STs (your wife told me to say that, just kidding).
good luck, flash
