Not quite that simple. That is quite like saying I have a "widget" that needs to connect to a "whatsit".
Would need to know how the weather station is needs to communicate, what protocols or languages does it understand.
There is no standard communication protocol for an RJ11 connector, it is just that a connector. It is used by telephones handsets, it is used by autoguiders, it doesnt mean an autoguider can connect and talk to a telephone just by plugging them together.

You will probably need a 4pin (RJ11) to RS232 9 pin and then a USB to RS232 adaptor. it all depends on what your equipment needs from the computer.

Many thanks for your replies
Hi Geoff
Its a La Crosse WS-2308 - 11.
When I set this up it was attached to my PC - now I want to move it to my MacBook Pro so I can access the software. However the only cable that came with it originally was a RJ11 and 9 pin serial port cable.

In that case you need a USB to RS232 adaptor. There are many varieties. If the weather station only connects to Com 1 or com 2 you may need to get into the control panel-system-devices or wherever the Mac allows you to do the same and change the COM port allocation as these adapters normally connect to com port 3 for the first USB that you use and will then allocate another if you change USB ports.
