Well, after some more testing and experimenting, I'm finally getting some pictures that are more like what I was hoping for...
Very nice Champ,
What did you use to take these?

That's a popular spot hehe... my first one was the same area i.e. Tycho & Clavius. Nice clear shots. What setup were you using?
Cheers, Fred....

Hi,
I'm using a 127mm Mak-Cas unguided and undriven (i think thats the proper terminology?) 42mm Ultima ep with a Fuji S5000 digital camera on a steady pix camera mount. I believe that I had just about full optical zoom with the camera. 3.2 at approx. 1/50th sec. These are afocal shots, as that's the only way I do it currently. Seeing was very good and it was about 20 degrees F. (cold fingers) Manually focused. I got it right for once.. :-)

Nice one!
I was out taking shots of the moon on the 8th as well, but I don't expect them to be so clear. It was pretty breezy so seeing was poor, but I captured some video with the ToUcam anyway just for the practice (at prime focus f10). I haven't processed it yet, will do that soon or over the weekend... If I get anything half decent I'll post it.
