NGC 4725 from collaboration project

I present a work done in collaboration with another italian astrophotographer, Stefano Conti. We have taken this beautiful galaxy with its neighbor in the past we. I think I can say that we went very deep. Considerable effort lavished on the management of color and detail and in putting together data from different instruments with very different fields.

Leo, it is Nice and deep!

NGC 4725 is an excellent example of a galaxy that displays a strong one-armed structure at a particular range of galactocentric radii.

This is often caused by interaction with another galaxy.

A strong candidate for interacting with NGC 4725 is the very peculiar little galaxy NGC 4747

That is just spectacular. One of the nicest galaxy images I have seen for ages. At first I thought it was a slighty unusual shot of M81.

What great framing as well.

I can't believe how tiny your stars are. Tracking is perfect, galaxy is super sharp. I personally like the rich colours in the galaxy but it will be perhaps a bit too blue for some.

How come the stars are so pinpoint? Did you use an AO?

Was the seeing exceptional?

I know the Meade ACF is a good imaging machine but still I haven't seen stars that pinpoint before from one.

The peculiarity of the companion galaxy NGC 4747 is also particularly well shown in his image.


Like Leo, a lot of Franke's images go very deep.

@greg: the star coming only from my RC-like :lol: ... I using a AO unit from StarlightExpress and i'm so happy about, i found a difference in terms of signal quantity and details. If you want, you can read the weekend's story and see the single sub in luminance about galaxy from 2 setup, it's automatically translate from italian:
