Conjunction 11th May

[Black Hole]

A cold morning on the Mid North Coast of NSW but a clear sky. Provoked by Mike's page my son and I for our first effort headed out into the dark, lost the dog, fumbled with the tripod and gazed east with expectation. Well worth the effort and the sunrise and mist rising from the sea were a bonus.

The well-defined arc formed by the planets in the sky is so aesthetically pleasing!

I was hoping to head up one of the mountains here tomorrow morning for the closest formation but the entirety of the state is under cloud cover. Fail.
