So, last week my new toys arrived.. Pentax Super Takumar 135mm lense, M42-EOS adaptor, and an extra battery.. Then while visiting my mothers on sunday she had found a "camera bit" while cleaning - Turned out it was a 2x M42 thread teleconverter!
Then last night was suprisingly clear - Freezing, but clear.
I took the following pair of images after a quick (very quick) attept at drift aligning. There are 90 or so 30 second exposures (400, 800 and 1600 ISO) in the wider image, and about 20 for the image with the teleconverter
Darks, no flats or bias. Not bad for a $70 lense from ebay! (that came with a free broken 50mm lense)
The lense was hard up against the "infinity" stop - Seems to be in focus. It will make taking flats much easier, and the focuser ring is large - 3cm or so, and silky smooth. The whole Takumar lense is metal, and has a nice space to add a heater to it.
EQ3 mount, no guidescope.
