Planned Site Downtime

Hi all.

The site will be unavailable for a few hours from tomorrow morning at approximately 9am.

We're performing a vBulletin version upgrade, and a faulty disk on the current server is being replaced.

I'm hoping that if everything goes ok, we'll be back on air by lunchtime - but like Murphy says, things can go wrong and there could be an extended outage for up to a day. I hope this is not the case, but just want to prepare you for the worst.

Apologies for any convenience caused, and rest assured we'll be working as fast as we can to get the site back on the air ASAP.

Blooody 'ell. Cold sweaty palms and one eye twitching already. I don't think you did us any favour by letting us know in advance Mike. You're only prolonging the agony. I'll have to slum it over at the Astronomy Online forum.
