A favorite of mine in Ara. I only managed two panels last night. This weather is a real pita. Very trying. 19x10min and 9x10min. I started very low (right noisy) then offset and shot until the meridian and planned to offset again for another panel on the other side but by then thin high altitude clouds rolled in and the seeing went south. :( The rig worked well while it lasted. Did a couple of mods during rainy days to the imaging train to stiffen everything and I got the final spacing for the corrector spot on: 104.75mm. Paid out as I got the best field I've ever had with any of my scope. Hopefully I can reproduce it. :)

There is a big one (60% reduction) here (http://memkxw.bay.livefilestore.com/y1p3KvCID4QntR5tFRVad8OABjBwjbxFS4n pC28FEnpTe56b1qLsTIJUKUq67WakQcoQ6i PdFpr0G3xH3kLnPtbvInBw8ZI5zfG/ngc6188_ha_ff.jpg?psid=1) . I'd like to map he whole area in Sii and Oiii this year so I plan to image whenever it clears.
Thanks for looking.

Hi Marc

Wow – that is an expansive vista! You have managed to record some very nice detail in the mosaic. Quite a marathon effort eh! Well-done and good luck with the rest of the project, I admire your stamina!

Cheers

Thanks Clive. Yes NGC6188 in Ara.

Thanks mate. Glad you like it.

Thank you Dennis. I'm trying hard to get out but this bloody weather is a real downer. Hope it gets cold and dry soon enough.

Thanks Ron. So am I. I'd really want to complete this in Winter. I missed the season last year.

Thanks Ross. Running on coffee lately. Astro-madness. ;)

Thanks Allan. That's the kind of feedback that keeps me going. Sick of posting data deprived noisy shots. First I've manage to squeeze some serious integration time in a while. Feels good. The weather makes it hard especially for us non-observatory nomads. :P

Thanks for the comment Marcus. Yes, I plan to to this one in NB. Weather permitting.

Thanks Rich. Squaring the camera is tha last bit to work out, but I have it 100% now. I am also looking forward to extend the mosaic and start shooting the other channels. I'm practicing the 'anti-rain' dance as we speak. ;)

A great image Marc. I like that you got that fine twisty structure near the bottom which is very faint.

Very nice Marc. 6188 is such a lovely target and handles NB very well with lots of structure to show off NB at it's best. You have done a really nice job on this one without blowing any of the cloud edges out.

Are you going to add any other colour to this one?
