I had a computer crash on the 22nd & I've only just managed to retrieve the data from it.

C11/DBK F22 resized AVI to 120%/Debayered in Astraimage.

I am real glad you recovered that data a great shot:thumbsup:. I asked the question not long after the storm started and I will bring it up again are we sure that this storm isn't becoming a permanent band:question:

Excellent John. Must have been frustrating to have a new scope and a crashed computer. Regards Ray

Thanks guys.

LOL Ray, I can't remember too many nights of imaging that weren't frustration free in my 6 yrs - It's just different levels of frustration ;-) I reckon it makes the odd decent image that I get all the more satisfying though, like another notch on the extension tube..

Yes Warren, I've been thinking lately that this storm could be permanent, but it's hard to say. Time will tell.

Thanks Michael. I have another one from the same night in Registax right now, don't think it's as good as this one but I'll post it later anyway.

Here she be. I kept this one a smaller size (110% resize). Surprisingly, I'm seeing a hint of the Encke division in this one.

Thanks Steve & Rob. I'm only guessing, but if you can get the Encke with a colour one shot you're doing ok.

Your images have finally got me to buy a DBK camera after many months with trying to extract the most out of my 40D video.

Lovelly image with very nice ring detail.

Well done!

Thanks Vincent, Troy & Darrin.

Darrin, just be aware that the Imaging Source are releasing a range of new cameras soon with a more sensitive chip. The only thing I'm not sure about is if the new chip will be implimented as a colour one shot camera. I reckon the new camera(s) are still months away yet.

Really nice result Asi, super job with the color balance. "C" ring came up well and some nice detail within the storm.

Have just got back from a lawn bowls tournament down at Mildura and just catching up with IIS, reckon this image is a standout.

Regards
Trevor

Hi Trevor, and thanks for your comments. Was beginning to wonder where you had got to..Hope you did ok in the tournament.

Hats off to Anthony here really; as to his tip about resizing data before alignment etc. It's really working well for me.

I'm doing these again with Registax 6 right now - I'll no doubt post some results later.

Hmmmm well here's one Registax 6 result. Quite impressed with (I think) quite a substantial improvement in the storm & Encke division details.

I wasn't too keen on ver. 6 at first, but as usual the more you experiment with a new program, the better the users ability becomes.

This was an 11 point alignment. Decided on point placement manually after studying the RAW AVI quite a few times to pinpoint the detail highlights. 'Standard' wavelett scheme. I never have liked & never will use the Guassian scheme.

You have my 100% attention, Cor & team!
