I have a personaly addressed Autograph to me from Henry Cooper, signed for me when I was about 15 years old:)
In 1963 I was in the British Army in Germany and listened to the World Title fight against Casius Clay (Muhammad Ali)
when Cooper knocked him down,Britain thought it had a world champion that night for a few minutes, but Ali came back and won the fight.
Rip Henry

I haven't heard of him unfortunately, but he sounds like a great boxer to be up against the likes of Ali. I just remember the Joe Fraser days on. A great historical memento you have there Ron. Getting that at 15 years, I'd imagine you would have been doing cartwheels all the way home!

He was kind of a mainstay on British panel shows. Very funny was "our 'enry".
RIP.

as I remember it Henry knocked him out and the bell went, then by some wierd happenstance Ali's glove was found to be split so they had to wait for about 4 minutes until it could be changed, you all know the result after that though.
