Hi all, got this one tonight near the zenith. It is 26 x 1 minute exposures with Astro 40D at ISO 800, and 14" LX200 at F6.3 . In the constellation of Hydra, it is rather bright at magnitude 7.7, and has a diameter of 1.1' .

Thanks David and Greg for your comments. Yes David it is cropped, and the image of the planetary is full size at F6.3 .

What 14" scope did you get?

That is very cool. Such a small object and you've captured wonderful colours and details. Kudos.

Very nice Lester. One of the targets I wouldn't bother with at my focal length. Great to see so clearly resolved.

Nice work Lester.

Thanks Marc, John and David for your replies, glad you liked it too.

Good luck with the new scope David, I have thought a few times about upgrading to the "r" version, it should be tops.

Thanks Doug for your comments. I guess we all adapt our imaging to what suits our set-up and our taste. I enjoy your captures too. All the best.
