New Moon Night's 6-7-8th May

Looking at having a 'New Moon night' observing weekend,next weekend I have had a couple of people ask about these.

Located on top of the Blackbutt Range,2 hours N.W of Brisbane,we occasionally have very small groups come up from Brisbane for observing.I will do a Camp Oven Roast,Bring your own camp gear-camp van what ever.Let me know if your coming on the Friday,I;ll do the roast meal on The Saturday-($20 for that and electricity and insurance)

Look forward to seeing the regulars again!,its been 12 months since we had one of these,and its my birthday on the 7th,:)so I am not offended by cans of rum and coke,or scotch and dry.

Hi Folks.

If anyone wants to confirm their visit,please let me know in the next day or so,so far only a very small amount are coming.I am very busy this week-so will need to order food soon.-So if ten people confirm they want to come on Friday arvo-I may not have enough food.

AAQ members welcome,some were asking about these nights a while ago.

Well looks like no one coming up,-the big rains have forced many telescope sales this year.So may be not many people left in S.E QLD into star gazing.

If someone turns up.you are welcome,but there will be no camp oven meal,
